jedi challenge #1

hi there! got this one done before the deadline. YAY! being inundated with snow, i have summer on the brain...being on lake michigan & hanging out in the sun. so this was my inspiration for the jedi chick freebie at jediscrapbooking.blogspot.com.

so i used some bo bunny valentine paper to paper piece her outfit. & i used red stickles & pink liquid pearls for the frill of her shirt. i used my copics to color the rest of the chick. to make the dock, i used tim holtz notebook emboss folder. i made my ticket to summer because at this moment i am so ready for it. don't get me wrong. i love snow, but when the snow on the ground is taller than my 6 year old, i think that i am done. lol. for the water background, i used paper from joann's that has been sitting around for ages. & i also used a mme sheet. the buttons used to be white, but i painted them with liquid pearls & added the red stickles. the ribbon is actually washi tape.

so i will be here buried under this snow for who knows how long. i am hoping the groundhog sees its shadow so that i can be that much closer to a summer day on the lake.

take care!
